Ok, so i want a perm. My hair is REALLY thick. So I want my perm to be sort of wavy. But I don't want to think after I get it, why did i get it? PLEASE HELP

You can first go to your hairdresser's and ask them to curl your hair-as wavy or curly as you wish to have them- with a curling iron and see how you like your hair that way. You can try it 1-2 even more times to see how much you want to curl the hair. If you like the result, you can then have the perm. You have to know that the perm lasts for about 6 months which means no that after that your hair will be the way they are now- but that in about 6 months the curls will break and soften. Perm only "leaves" your hair as they grow and you cut the wavy part. If it's not too curly but wavy you won't have any problems cause even after 6 months it'll look ok. I had 2 so far and loved it. Of course i got bored after 1 year or so and cut what was left. Now i want to have on again but wavy this time- not Afro curly i previously had. Good luck and have fun. After all, it's hair, they grow so you can cut!!!

I mean to spoil anything for you but if your hair is really thick then the perm probably won't hold.

You can use larger rollers that way it will just be wavy, I would suggest white one.And if its still to curly it will loosen up in a week so give it time...Good luck
