Sorry -- But what does "OHG" really mean !??

I read it every day when I am in "Merriam-WebsterONLINE"
and it confuses me .... Sorry, I am a foreigner.

I am not sure, but I think OHG used in a dictionary is a reference to the words etmology, or origin...the word that has OHG near it might mean that the word is derived from Old High German
