Battlefield 2142 installation?

I'm trying to play the demo for Battlefield 2142 but when i click the icon it says: failed to start, couldn't find file d3dx9-29.dll. What is this file and where can i get it???

I had the same problem. Its just that you don't have the latest version of DirectX (v9). You can download it here:
