I accidentally spilled candle wax on a backpack, mostly synthetic material. It dried instantly and I'm having trouble getting it off. Can't scrape it off completely. Whats the best way to get it off completely without damaging the backpack?

Lay the backpack flat on the floor, put a towel over it, heat up an iron and run the iron over the towel on top of the backpack this makes the wax soak into the towel, trust me done this plenty of times!

A hot iron and either brown paper or kitchen roll, lots of it place over the wax and put iron on top keep moving the iron over the spot and dabbing up the wax as it melts, just be careful of the backpack and use plenty of kitchen roll, or place in a freezer and it should just pop off when removed good luck.

Take a brown paper grocery bag. Tear it open. Lay it flat on the wax. Pass a warm iron over the paper bag. The wax will melt and get absorbed into the brown paper.
Don't let the iron get too hot, to avoid melting the fabric.
