I need to do a research on how the intake on junk food in childhood can caused many health problems in adulthood. I was asked to show how a healthy diet could prevent these health problems.

I wanna know what they're actually asking for when they said 'how a healthy diet could prevent these problems'? Basically healthy diet means balanced meals with all those nutrients and dietary fibre. So does researching on the functions of all those nutrients necessary? I'm really clueless on what to search for. help me please!

There is no evidence "healthy diets" do anything major BUT there is evidence, strong evidence that some things do harm.

Sugar sodas and candy, for example, are DEFINATELY linked to broken bones in children and teens.

SUGARS decalcify bones and teeth and make them prone to decay or easy breakages.

TO the point where SCHOOLS are banning sodas.

EATING too much is unhealthy. The "supersize" mentality has made Johnny and Susan TOO LARGE.

Obesity is a major problem in America.

Its not what you eat, but HOW MUCH OF IT you eat that is the problem.

Meats can be a problem (plaque in the artieries) and the solution is either less meats or consumption of BOOZE (wine, for example) to lower the incidence of this.

French people and Italians EAT horribly, BUT they drink red wine from age 5 and as a result they have LESS heart disease than do AMERICANS.

FRENCH cooks with BUTTER, CREAM but they have less heart disease.

They also have leaner lunches.

A FRENCH lunch is some bread, some cheese, some wine and a few apple slices

NOT a double quater pounder with cheese and large fries and a milkshake or large coke.

Europeans often eat ONE big meal near mid-day and then eat sparcely the rest of the time.

Americans eat like pigs morning noon and night

There is ABSOLUTLEY no proof eating VEGGIES or going VEGAN is HEALTY, in fact DOCTORS say it's not. Doctors say you need a little chicken or fish.

You do want to eat things with nutrition, UNFORTUNATELY Kellogs Frosted Flakes is DOCTORED UP with nutritian, but that don't make it a good thing to eat!

There are some beneficial things to consume and to be frank consuming OATES and OAT products is similar to consuming RED WINE.

Including the sugars.

Artificial sugar is a killer and should be avoid as much as possible.

All veggies and fruits have sugar and THAT's ENOUGH for anyone.

Things to limit are TRANS FATS (potato chips, red meat, lamb, pork, fried fish, fried foods), heavy starches (potatoes), BAD OILS.

YOu want a diet with fruits, green veggies, yellow or orange veggies. Some lean, broiled chicken without skins. Lots of water. Some red wine wouldn't hurt in moderation.

YOu want to avoid sausage products as much as you can. Fast food Pizza. Over EATING (get a cheese burger not a double quarter pounder).

Things like fried chicken. Chicken with breading and chick with skins are bad.

Take the SKINS and BREADING off a chicken breast and you cut the trans fats and calories in HALF

Poached or broiled meats are the best.

Eggs are not your enemy as long as you don't have more than 3 a week and DON'T FRY them!

Crisp, steamed veggies are the best.

Raw can be even better, but most people can't take RAW veggies.

Peanut butter is a GOOD food.

Peanut butter on a celery stick is a GREAT snack!

Switch your oil to OLIVE oil exclusively.

That's how Italians cook and while they might be a little fat, they don't have the HEART disease Americans do.

The use Olive oil, they eat a lot of fish and drink RED wine.

Wine, beer or a little booze CAN be healty for the meat eating body in moderation.

It won't do much for a vegan, however.

You should read and research these things.

It has been shown that a package of Hostess anything raises the blood sugar and aderinaline in kids to HORRIBLY high levels and can be aggrivating to problems like hyperactivitity.

SALT is another thing that should be limited.

SALT and SUGAR should be a restricted drug only issued by a doctor. It should be totally ILLEGAL to buy raw salt or raw sugar without a "script" from a physician. THESE are killers.

Look them up

Go do a Yahoo or Googel in Salt and Sugar and see what the experts say about these two products.
