What does CNC in real estate listing means ?

I saw these terms are posted on MLS listed properties :
Active, Sold, Exp, Pending, and CNC.

Can someone tell me what does CNC means ?

I thought it might mean the listing was canceled.

This abbreviation differs from location to location. My best advise is to call a local brokerage and ask what it means in your area.

Closed Non Contingent

It means that it has closed essentially, because all of the contingencies have been released.
