They have no use in a modern society, except as a draw for the tourists

I dont see why any americans would need to have an opinion on our royal family. They dont affect there way of life or anything else.

human beings pick to study about there historic past and the royal kin had an excellent effect on American subculture being they led to us to come back to u.s. and spoil off from the British empire

I suppose there would have to be some - afterall, where there's one side there's surely the opposite as well. For example, just as there are Americans who hate president Bush, it would seem there are some who don't.

i am British and cant stand them , never mind Americans? what exactly do they do for this country, except live off of our backs,and take themselves of on nice holidays god knows how many times a year? complete and utter waste of space in my personal opinion?? oh and forgot to mention slaughtering our wildlife, for what they perceive as sport.....oh don't get me started on this one iam going to ask a question now on how to calm down?

Can't say I love them. I do read about their interesting antics in the papers...but then I don't love the Bush family either and read about them, too. :)
