So we were sitting around talking yesterday, my family and everyone. And I noticed how poor people's listening skills can be when talking in groups. I make sure to look at everyone when I'm talking and when another person is talking to look at them. However, I noticed when we were sitting around talking yesterday, one of my cousins doesn't do the same and it kind of bugged me. She only looked at her brother the entire time we were talking. it was the three of us, and whenever she said something, I would look at her and listen. However, she only looked back at her brother when she spoke. Then when I would say something, she didn't respond to it and only looked back at her brother. She made the conversation a sort of inside thing between her and her brother. Her brother, my other cousin wasn't that way, looking at both of us and listening to me. But she was only paying attention to him. I noticed she does the same to her sister, whose always left out of their discussions. I can see why.

For people with incredibly low self esteem it is very difficult to look people in the eye. In fact they will only look you in the eyes if they feel that they can trust you. It sounds to me that your cousin is very insecure and only feels truly comfortable with her brother. Try spending some alone time with her and building a relationship with her.

ALWAYS talk to the persoan that is closest in distance if you try to talk to someone from across a table you may end up ruing the others converstaion because your too loud,making them talk louder then you'll all end up yelling to hear eachother. so talk to the closest person.

i try to give the same amount of attention to everyone. cause i hate that when the tables are turned, i get ignored.

I try to talk with everyone. It is who I am . If someone doesn't like you then well don't bother with them.
