Now that we have to go back to work tomorrow?

Yes - but I think everyone does on a Sunday - teacher or not!! The thought of the early morning in semi-darkness is enough to give anyone a sinking feeling. I have a twilight period to teach as well on a Monday so the day is even longer.

Just remember though - we get much more time off than most. I know I do a lot of work in the holidays - but at least it's on my time-frame and I can manage it so that I get a whole month off in the summer. Most people only get that much time off in a whole year.

I'm smiling very big because I know exactly what you mean. Sigh... back to work tomorrow. Gotta finish up the planning for the week. Get the homework copied...wake up early tomorrow and get their math pages ready. Then.... the bell rings and Monday officially begins. So sad.

I usually don't get that feeling until after 3:00 in the afternoon. But when I was a student, I got the same feeling about the same time on Sunday afternoons. I just think of the things I didn't get done over the week end that I wanted to get done. *sigh*

I think as our profession continues to add demands it is more impossible for us to complete our jobs. I also feel that the amount of disrespect I am come across on a daily basis is enough to drive most out of the profession.

Do you remember when we used to talk about actually teaching kids???

Yes! I am also in the middle of report cards and have meetings everyday afterschool this week so that could have something to do with it. Have a great Monday everyone!

No, I don't because:

1. My working week doesn't start until Tuesday!
2. My students are so good that I look forward to seeing them!

Have a good week!

Yes... even though I do enjoy my job and like my students (and don't have to put up with horrible teenaged dart-chucking brats in my classes, lol!), I hate the thought of having to get up early again!

Not yet... maybe later this evening... it's too nice a day out to be stuck in feeling blue.
