I'm 5 weeks pregnant and I was wonder about morning sickness. I haven't had any and I was wondering if it's true that if you don't allow your tummy to get empty b4 eating again you WON'T get morning sickness?

This is my second pregnancy with my son I had NO morning sickness at all? Some would say I'm just lucky and I shouldn't let other pregnant friends or family members know cuz they'll probably want to stuff me or something LOL.

Other that being tired I feel GREAT!!!

Morning sickness is usually caused by a form of hormone 'poisoning'--your body produces a lot of hormones for the baby, but some of those make you ill.

It does help to not let your stomach get empty or overfull, but nothing guarantees that you won't have morning sickness, just like you can't guarantee that you won't get the flu. I barely had morning sickness at all with my son [and yes, lots of other pregnant mommies hated me for it :-D], but this time around I have been nauseous since week six or seven and began being truly sick around week eight, and here at eleven weeks, it hasn't let up yet. I'm having twins this time, so my hormone levels are a lot higher. Some women report more morning sickness with girl babies than boy babies, but this isn't consistent. Just like nearly everything else, it seems to vary from pregnancy to pregnancy and woman to woman.

Congratulation on your pregnancy, and good luck!

Some people really don't get it and i'm jealous... with my baby i had morning sickness starting at 4 weeks and it stayed there for the first 3 months, on and off all day long worst at night... and no it's not true that if you eat before your stomach is empty you won't get it... i ate alot and it was no different when i let my stomach get empty... except that the nausea is a lot worse if you don't eat anything... lucky girl! Congratulations on your 2nd baby!! Best wishes to you! ♥

Don't assume anything! You have been lucky so far but that doesn't mean it won't happen. Every pregnancy is different even your first to your second and third if you have more. Never say never. Morning sickness is real and if happens it happens. Crackers work for some...... Good luck.

I had morning sickness ONCE throughout my entire pregnancy... and then I had two occasions that I threw up after eating a banana late in the evening for a snack, and vanilla ice cream one afternoon... for no reason. I never felt sick... just turned my head and threw it up and went on about my business. There are women who never experience morning sickness... consider yourself lucky! I'm sure there are a lot out there that envy you! Congrats and God bless you and your baby to come! :)

unfavorable woman, you sound depressing. indexed below are some issues my physician stated. -sidestep good odors -Take your prenatal supplements at nighttime,or ask your physician in case you may swap to flinstone chewable till morning disease turns into greater bearable. -Nausea may well be worse on an empty abdomen,so attempt in case you may to maintain something small on your abdomen, like bland soups, toast, crackers. -some otc cures which includes an acupressure band for action disease -nutrition B6 25mgs an afternoon, three times an afternoon -Ginger ale,or ginger root pills If concern persists, ask your physician some prescription medicine.

The only thing that worked for me was to eat unsalted crackers. Take care of yourself and get more rest to keep from feeling too tired. ps.... congratulations!!
