I was wondering if I can go on youtube and make a video about about Universal pictures cutting out a LOT of scenes from the True Lies DVD. I think more people need to know about what Universal have done to a great film, they have totally ruined it and Im not happy one bit with my purchase of this DVD. So just to recap, is it legal to make a video on youtube telling everyone about scenes being cut of the True Lies DVD released by Universal. I live in the UK, if that really matters or not....

Remember, I want to know if I can make a video of ME telling everyone about Universal cutting alot of scenes out of the True Lies DVD. Im not going to use any scenes from the film, I might hold up the DVD cover or something to the camera just to let everyone see what Im talking about you know? So Im wondering if THAT is legal or not it's hard to tell I think. I live in the UK if that matters or not.

as long as you dont use more than 10% of copywrited matreial its ok
be very carefull of what you say & how you say it tho big business does have lawyers everywhere
make sure that you cannot get sued for defamation or libel if you say anything make sure that it is true & can be proved (in a court of law if need be)
you can be sued in a uk court as you are in uk or us court as they are in us
be very carefull choose your words carefully

you can legaly use 10 percent of anything, without having to pay copywrite fees, so you should be ok ,
just don't exeed that golden 10

then again looking at you tube some much shouldn't be there

you should be fine,
you are not doing it FOR PROFIT!
if you are really that concerned contact Universal pictures here

http://www.universalstudios.com/homepage/html/contact_us/contact_form.cgi?email_id=9
and ask them if you can, or send them the video and ask for there permission, in that way you could maybe even get there help.

were ever you live it makes no difference, just don't sell it without there permission.
-my question is were did you get hold of those scenes,

They'd probably sue you for defaming them, and they'd be able to find out who you are because your IP address will show that you put the video on there. I probably wouldn't if I was you.

Yesit is legal. But be careful you do not use more than 10% of the movie. I would be careful.
