To have sufficient insight to gain sufficient wisdom to consistently enrich the life of those I love while helping them to become more perceptive, more insightful, and wiser than me - and thus become the best human being they could be, whatever that may be. And so, like throwing a pebble in a pond, to create expanding waves to lift other boats on the water. Given my own initial propulsions from remarkable, independent-minded grandparents, and my gentle, thoughtful Father who pursued what he called "truth and wisdom" without religiosity all his life, one would think that aim should not be too high. But although my children are in fact wiser than me, and better human beings, I feel I did not achieve all I might have done - so it was obviously too hard, at least for me. Yet I will die content enough, still learning, which is the best and most serious thing one can hope for.

Self-discipline. Had much of it when I was young but now that I'm old and stupid, seems like many things I set out to do require immense self-discipline and I tend to lack that. I think my ever procrastinating side is from lack of discipline. And I've been known to repeat my mistakes. So I guess learning to be happy beyond all this is one other thing I'd really want to do.

To have the courage and practicality to be What - and Who I am as a human being, AND to accept it, instead of resisting or fighting against it, so that I lost valuable time to SIMPLY Be - and enjoy and view life at its' basis.
