1 on 1 James would win, but as a team sport Nash has just too much awareness, he is more valuable.

Both Steve Nash and LeBron are great players but one clearly shines a little brighter than another, and that shining star is Steve Nash. Although both players can score and create things out of nothing, Nash has the rare ability to make every single player on his team better, something that Lebron hasn't masterd yet.

easily Steve Nash because not only is he an all around scorer
but he elevates the players on his team. if you check the players
traded into his team you will find each having career scoring records. obviously Lebron is a great scorer and passer but Steve Nash controls the game and plays defense. when you evaluate a player you must add in all the factors. what actions did they do to "contribute" to the game? then you can only conclude it's steve nash. lebron of , of course , is the great individual talent, while steve is the mvp. thx

Let me start by saying I'm a Steve Nash fan. However if you were to start a team right now and you pick Steve Nash before LB you dont know baseketball and you are kidding me. I love steve Nash ... he's amazing deserves his MVPs however he plays with two all-stars. Hell Barbosa would be starting in any other NBA team. Minus "Z" .... King plays with no former allstars, not one!
In my opinion they are very different players ... however if the NBA went bankrupt and we had to start a new league with new teams ... and you were a new GM would you take Nash over Lebron????? If you would your crazy! (I'm not a huge Lebron fan either)

This question depends wether you are talking about sheer basketball skills or you're talking about team basketball. Individually and talent-wise, LeBron is more gifted than Steve Nash. In terms of team play, both men prove important in their respective teams. They both make their teams better. Nash, however, has proved to be more invaluable to his team. As you can see, Phoenix has suffered a 3-game losing streak when Steve was injured. When he returned, they went on a 3-game winning streak.
You see, there are different ways to base you're question. As for me, I favor James more than Steve Nash because he brings excitement to the basketball court. Steve Nash proves helpful to his team fundamentally.
