While a case can certainly be made for trying to persuade Muslims - and other immigrant populations - to return to their home lands forcible expulsion would be a disaster for Europe. Some voluntary re-settlement would be straightforward in some cases, as many immigrants to Europe were forced to leave their homelands for fear of political or sectarian violence, and would prefer to live where they were born. But that would not be enough to address the sort of problems that seem to motivate the question.
Forcible expulsion looks like an easy option, but the experience of history shows that a government powerful enough to force through such a policy will inevitable go on to oppress its own citizens rather that lay down the powers it assumed during the "emergency" situation that it exploited to gain the power in the first place. The classic example must be that of Re-conquest Spain which expelled the Moors and Jews from all Spain after it conquered the last Muslim state in the Peninsular - Granada. This operation, which was originally popular with the Christian majority - greatly enhanced the power of the Inquisition and the central government. Other expulsions have also tended to weaken the community that ordered the expulsions in the first place and to create pockets of determined enemies beyond that communities national borders - enemies who will take opportunities to harm the society that expelled them.
There is no quick fix. What has to be done is to integrate the newcomers into society. England for many centuries was able to integrate successive waves of immigrants by insisting that if they wanted to live in England they had to accept English ways and conform to them as much as it was reasonable possible for them to do. That involved learning the English language and accepting the responsibilities of citizens. The US from its foundation accepted and integrated immigrants with such success that it became a super power.
The big problem these days is the idea of "multiculturalism" which recognises any incoming culture as being of equal value to that of the host community, and excessive measures being taken to accommodate different ways of life. Europe badly needs to re-discover faith in itself and pride in the achievements of Western civilization, and to hold these things up as a standard to immigrants that they are to respect and seek to emulate. Encouraging diversity leads to tensions between disparate groups. A voluntary conformity is the easiest way in the long run to a peaceful society - and peaceful societies tend to prosper materially and culturally.
The best hope for the UK is for the inhabitants to regain their understanding of their history, and to take pride in it. If all other European states recovered respect for their historical achievements - culturally, scientifically, militarily or whatever and coupled this with a respect for the achievements of other nations we could move towards a harmonious grouping of stable states. To achieve this there must be an overhaul of the educational system, which at present often seems to stimulate social, religious, and cultural divisions, and denigrates the history of the host community. It will not be easy at first - but it is a better way that giving a central government the power to conduct forced population expulsions.

You make the egregious error of equating "terrorist" with "Muslim". Should England expel all Irish because of the IRA and PARA's? Should Spain eliminate the Basques? Should the French expel the "Fraternite Des Ecologie"?

Terrorists are terrorists and to slap the label on a religious or ethinc group is totally erroneous. There are terrorist Musilims, but so are there terrorist Christians (look at Sen. Fisk of Tenessee!), Hindi, Jews, etc.

Ask the Hutu and Tutsi which ones were the terrorists... with that example you get to denigrate an entire population...

In short, no. Your 'solution' would cause widespread and indefensible suffering as well as fueling the fires of the intolerant for years to come.

Expulsion of any religion is a form of ethnic cleansing and therefore by definition is against all current Human Rights charters.
It goes far and beyond discrimination on the grounds of religion.
It is a throwback to anti semitic policies in Germany.
It will not serve to engender any reconciliation between religions or nationalities -instead it will break up families where there are mixed marriages-Muslim and non Muslim.
To a greater or lesser degree all acts of terrorism have been imported or orchestrated from outside the countries you quote and I doubt that expulsion of a religious sect would alter that.Additionally from those non-Muslims remaining there would always remain a minority sympathetic to their aims and ready to help for reasons of their own anti establishment agenda.

Are you crazy?!!!!!!! Damn no! Just because one group of terrorists happen to be of the same race does not mean you should expel the whole population. Does this mean that when Hitler killed all the Jews we should expel all Germans? Of course not. We must accept the fact that there are people that are terrorist. Only vigilance from the citizens of the country can help solve the problem

What a retarded question. You really believe Islamic fundamentalists are behind all of the terrorism in the world? You dont have to doubt 911, just look at Mossad's track record to see you dont have to be Muslim to blow stuff up.

BTW, it is not feasible, or moral, to throw them out of anywhere. And where to? Israel was already taken from them. That was their homeland. Do you think that was justified by the holocaust? What did the palistinians have to do with it? Where will you put them?

It would make things much worse, confirming what they have been saying, that they are treated as second class citizens around the world and unfortunately I must agree with them. Look at what we have done to them. (Starting with the oil monopolies in the 1800's).

No it shouldn't BUT I am a firm believer of "when in Rome, do as the Romans do".

Any other religious or social group (be it Muslim or otherwise) must be made to integrate fully in the society into which they have chosen to live.

There is nothing wrong with religious tolerance and Muslims (or any other religious group) should be allowed to continue to practice their religion, but they must be forced to integrate on all other levels.

I despise British people who live in Cyprus and who make no attempt to speak Greek or integrate with the local community. Similarly, I despise people who come to the UK to live and make no attempt to learn the langauge, expect schools to teach in their native langauges, live in a segregated community etc. This way only leads to seperatism between the incomers and indigenous people and ultimately friction.

I am of Greek origin and continue to practice in my Orthodox upbringing but, on all other levels I have integrated into British society. I am still proud of my roots as a Greek but, as I live and work in England, I respect and operate within the laws and codes of the society I am in.
