Any bleeding that goes beyond the period is called breakthrough bleeding and it can sometimes act just like a period. You need to see a dr about it to find out what's going on.

there is no such thing as month long bleeding. could be from different things going on in your body. you need medical attention not this board to find out what your problem is. good luck.
