when someone you really care about said "I love you" and wished to marry you for many times before, then you really fell hard for the person. Suddenly, they just tell you "I want you to have a very lovely life. I hope that you get a very understanding man. I want nothing but the best for you." What does it mean... is that a kind of letting go? or a way to tell 'forget about me'.. or what? what do you think? and why would they tell that?

It sound like just what it is saying. I hope you have a lovely life with a very understanding man. And the part of him saying "I want nothing but the best for you"! He is wishing you well in your life.

So in other words he is moving on with his life, he has come to realize that there is nothing there for him with you. And even though he is moving on he still wants you to have a beautiful life, with some one who will love and care about you and that you will also care about and love. He only wants the best for your life. He most likely feels that there is nothing there for him as he has asked to marry you many times and nothing has happened.

Sounds to me like they want to play the field, but they are leading you on, because they are unsure of their feelings for you. Immmaturity galore. Don't fall for it. Guys do this and girls too, when they don't have a clue what a good thing is. I would advise you to not listen to the lines a person gives you, but, look at their actions. If what they are saying and doing is not the same thing, then, you have a player on your hands. I say move on if that's the case. You deserve better.

Looks like a soft gentle approach of being let go of.

There seems to be no ambiguity in the statements.
