open my computer and see if it has a DRIVE letter such as F: USUALLY YOUR drives are A: FLOPPY B: and C: if you have 2 hard drives or C: for one only D: DVD-ROM E: DVD-BURNER. F: USUALLY REMOVABLE USB. DRIVE or G: can be any letter really. if it's not there WINDOWS is not detecting it try unplugging it and plugging it in again it should be detected if not REBOOT the computer. if still not detected try installing it manually. ask windows to look for best USB DRIVER. on the internet should then work. or USB PORT IS FAULTY. try other ports if you have them. surely one of them will work. als check in devices/ properties. to make sure USB. ports are set up properly.

assuming the any drivers are loaded and this is a usd stick/pen drive, windows has probably assigined it a drive letter that is in use, therefor you wont see it. to change it,
right click on my computer, and choose manage
on the menu tree in the left hand windows, click disk management.
in the right hand window you will see all the storage devices windows knows about.
right click on the usb device in question, and choose change drive letters and paths.
change it to a drive letter you know is not used, a warning will pop up about changing drive letters, just ok this.
you should now be able to see your usb device.
warning. do not change c:

it needs software to interpret wat the usb does
if you've left it in for a long time and it still doesn't work,
try any cds that came with ti if there are any
