Judges seem to be in a hurry to decide cases. Sometimes they simply adjourn! Sometimes they come late! Are they answerable to the society of which they are a part!! Can they be hauled up for delaying cases!

Some judges are honest some are not.

Judges can be removed from office either by impeachment or the legislature, depending on whether they are federal or state.

Of course, when federal Judges get impeached, they just run as Democrats for Congress and get elected.

See Alcee Hastings (D) Florida, only the 6th federal judge in American history to be impeached.

For the most part YES Judges are honest. BUT as in ANYTHING it is possible to get a dirty one. I can't tell you who any of them might be. But I can also say that there are judges who should NOT be judges. And coming late well that is mostly because being a judge goes to their head. Court canNOT start without them, so you'll wait. And they are NOT answerable to you or me for sure. They can do pretty much what they want. Once appointed to the bench they own it. They really got to screw up pretty badly before they can be removed. BUT Let me give you a good example of one judge who shouldn't be. If you watched ANY of the Anna Nicole Smith thing. The judge who handled this REALLY REALLY was all so bad. I don't know how he got to be a judge. He must have given some mean B.J.'s to alot of people. This guy talked in circles and even CRIED. HE CRIED? I still can't believe that I saw this. BUT I DID. And his ruling SUCKED BIG TIME!!!!! He did make ONE decent decision but overall he sucked. He needs to be dethroned so to speak.

I assume your talking about a bench trial and not a jury, and yes I believe they are honest because if they arent and it is appealed to a higher court and found that they werent honest their reputation would be ruined forever

I think most Judges are honest and fair in their Judgement, but there are a few bad apples in every barrel.

As human beings, they are NEVER totally honest. They rule according to prejudices, emotions, etc., just like all of us who make decisions.
