The '11 Immutable Laws of Internet Branding' by Laura and Al Ries. Also helps to review any very recent marketing 101 text book. Beyond that, if you spend any time on the web it's a good bet the same viral memes that are pulling your attention are similarly grabbin' your would-be customers.
