Would you use an environmentally friendly, packaging free supermarket?
i.e. one where you brought in your old coffee jars, detergent bottles, egg boxes, washing powder boxes etc etc and had them filled up. It wouldn't sell everything, but most of what you need. If you had no container, it would be supplied in a paper bag, or in a container you could re-use next time. Products would be the same trusted brand names that are sold everywhere else, not cheaper, inferior versions.
Concerns about food in tamper-free containers would be addressed.
Please answer honestly as I'm opening this shop next year, and this is my paper-free, environmentally friendly market research! (Well, it's relatively green compared with mailshots, paper surveys etc..)

in theory its a great idea, but ik don't think people will travel there as well as going to the regular supermarket, time is precious, ideally we need all supermarkets and shops to use less packaging, why do we need fruit in plastic bags when paper ones are better or even non at all. also what would happen if you filled somebodies container with coffee and they had a problem with the stuff ie foreign body flavour loss or worse food poisoning how can you prove it was the container not being clean and not your produce, think very carefully and take legal advice. good luck

Well, i would probably not shop from this type of supermarket, as it is far much easier just going to the shop and getting your products in there packaging and in a bag. however i do think that many products can be sold with a lot less packaging, for example fruit and vegitables, should not have any packaging at all, my uncle owns a supermarket, and i know many people bring in there own carrier bags as the staff at the till now ask if you would like a bag or not!

If it came to that. There's always a way of buying refills for things in different packaging. Then, take them home and put them in whatever you want to. Or leave them in the refill package.

Depends where it is situated. I wouldn't go specially out of my way to visit such a shop.

yes sounds a good idea as long as prices were not over extreme

I wouldn't go out of my way too, I just don't feel passionate enough about it to go to that "extreme"
