Multiply the first by 5 and the second by 4
5/20 + 4/20 = 1/t

Add them together
9/20 = 1/t

multiply both sides by t

9t/20 = 1

multiply bs by 20

9t = 20

divide bs by 9

t = 20/9

First we notice that there is a restriction on t because it is in the denominator. So, t must not be zero.

Here LCD=20t.

We can now multiply each term of the original equation by the LCD. We get: 5t + 4t = 20 or 9t = 20 or t=20/9 which is acceptable if we check against our restriction.

LCD = 20t so multiplboth sides by 20t:-

5t + 4t = 20

9t = 20

t = 20/9 = 2 (2/9)

multiply by 20 both sides and you have
5 + 4 = 20/t
multiply by "t" both sides
5t + 4t = 20
simplify
9t = 20
divide by 9 both sides
t = 20/9

must t not=0
t*4*5*1/4+t*5*4*1/5=t*4*5*1/t
5*t+4*t=20
9*t=20
t=20/9
