Super 8 is on celluloid film strips so they need to be scanned in order to be digitalized. There a special companies that can do this for you, as such scanners are very, very expensive.
Another way, but that will need some experimenting with the equipment, is to film the super 8 film which is projected onto a sceen or wall, with a digital camera (DV) - but in the end you might not get the same high end result.

I bought a TV card for my laptop to convert my Holiday hi 8 video from Maplins in town called AVerMedia for around £50 you just connect your camera to the TV card like you would to you TV or video recorder, press play on your camera and record in the software provided when your done burn it on to disk
