They seem stereotyped and soulless in modern culture.

They are beautiful creature and combine power with grace and dignity rarely seen in mythical animals (ex:the arrogant nature of dragons and vampires).

And most importantly they are a perfect metaphor for self sacrifice, endurance of hope and a man's legacy.

We appreciate that which reflects our own reality. In this capitalistic society we value and justify selfishness or greed which is manifested in the form of arrogance and self-importance. In fact these are the ideologies taught in our higher learning institutions.

Vampires and dragons represent pure consumption. Both would totally destroy this planet if given a chance to totally flourish unchecked. This pretty much represent the condition in the world today.

It is the nature of evil to dupe society. Evil has to somehow glorify itself in the eyes of people to flourish. This is done through symbolical images like dragons and vampires.

Trust me my friend conversations are happening all around us about the beautiful nature of the Phoenix. Give it time, its prominence is on the rise but it still needs to gain momentum to rise above the symbols of arrogant ideologies marketed by big business driven my those that want to enslave the minds of us all to exert their control.

Truth to tell, they have been written about in a bad light in a lot of books lately as being portrayed something different from what you are describing.
All I think of them is that a creature who lives for centuries before dying in flames only to be reborn again I would feel sorry for. I could not imagine what it would be like to live forever, that would be the worst form of torture anyone or anything can endure.

They should not be, they are some of the most beautiful
and legendry creatures in mythology, rising from the ashes,
it is a catalyst for most peoples lives as we all live on the
edge of tommorow, guided by what fate has in store for us....

THE phoenix is mentioned in astrology as the creature like
most leo's and as all leo's out there, fate smashes you down
and we keep rising from the ashes of our own lives, to come
back better and more refreshed than ever before.....................

Born 1st August 1962, as for all other people born as a leo,
they are the quintessential power figures, related to the legendary
bird, which rises up from the ashes................................................

So, as this bird rises from the ashes can everyone in their life
find that same premise, the Phoenix is both symbolic and
associated with loss and success, all in the same BREATHE...

Breathing life into yourself, and rising up from the fire and
ashes of your life like the Phoenix.................................................
