Your vin number can tell most things e-mail me and i can send you a copy of the manual with the vin code information so you can desypher. Alternativly join sidc forum http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/default.aspx and ask the Squirrel he knows everything and he is the encyclopedia of Impreza! You would need to be on the Scottish and Angus section. Here is a quick link to there FAQ which also should tell you. http://www.sidc.co.uk/faq.htm#2.1.3

#1 It's a 94. The WRX didn't make it to the US until 96.
#2 The STi didn't come to the US until after 2000.
#3 The engine would be either the EJ20 or the EJ25, not the EJ22 like someone else mentioned.

Hopefully this answers the question. If not, go to STLSubaru.com. Look in our forums and find SubieJon. He'll probably be able to answer it better.

ok, so the certainty of the placement is this. in case you are able to "under no circumstances locate the money for" a WRX or STi, then you definitely won't in any respect locate the money for a rally motor vehicle. maximum rally drivers, even amateurs in the backside classes, carry as lots income spare areas by using fact the motor vehicle itself expenses. Rally isn't a miles less high priced sport. in case you % a miles less high priced rally motor vehicle, come across a Mazda 323GTX, Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-X or Galant VR-4. they are going to be lots extra much less costly than a WRX, are not as rapid and could probably smash much less puzzling, yet you will have extra funds left over to enhance and get alternative spare areas.

First it has to be right hand drive. If it is NA or has an automatic tranny then it is not. The block should say EJ22T or EJ253, depending what country it was made for. And almost always it will say STi somwhere inside unless you know the car had a interior change.
