Visit your local jewellers. Most pocket watches do not need a wind-up keey as they come with one fitted, as part of the watch. You may need to purchase a chain seperately if your watch does not come with one (this is for fastening the watch to your clothes).

Look in to Hunter or Half-Hunter watches.

Hope this helps!

You need to decide a few things. Do you want a battery watch or a mechanical watch? A battery is just like it sounds--no winding necessary. However, most traditional pocket watches are mechanical (manual winding). They can use either a key or just a crown like a normal watch. Most pocket watches have a 48-72 hour power reserve, but you should try to wind it at the same time everyday. I have a gorgeous rose gold one from 1914 that I love. It has a beautifully engraved back and I can open it up to show off the movement. Because it is so old it isn't very accurate (I lose about 4 minutes a day), but I still love it.

There's a forum I use for all watch related questions (plus they have a great Sales Corner with reputable people): http://www.timezone.com

They usually have a small wind up knob at the top of the watch, which you turn every day to keep it ticking. There is no special needs for them unless you want to wear them with a watch chain (which you attach to the watch and the other end to your button hole) either on a waist coat or the lapel of your jacket and the watch is then kept in your top pocket, of your jacket or waist coat. You can get them for very good prices at an auction. Price depending on the material they are made from, metal, silver or gold. You have to pay a purchase tax and VAT on top of the buying price so make sure you know your limit. You can also get them on e-bay but I like to see things first hand before buying them.
