hullo dear, its lovely to see that u ask such a question here.

well, its true that the grandma was a strong woman, but like every other parent, she wished to keep her grandchildren in a better place, which was hygienic, had schooling facilities and what more, she was earning there. she knew that there were bandits in the village, and as such, she never ever wanted her grandchildren to face what she had to face in her own life.

and moreover, the grandson was very sick, and she couldn't allow him to die in the resourceless village.....

i hope u got ur answer, dear, i had read the story in class 10 or 9, some 3-4 years ago.

The grandmother wants a good future for her children,she has even started earning a livelihood for themselves,she do not want to go back as she know that in her motherland she would not any kind of facilities for to full fill all her responsibilities.that's why she has decided to stay back in the same place.
