Dick Cheney visited Australia this week. People were angry because half the city's roads were closed to expedite his short journey across town. Why do we revere these people so much? Yeah I agree with you, even though I live in Brisbane so it didn't affect me, when I saw on the news how he needed all those boats around his boat just to take a little trip on the harbour. I thought it was ridiculous and over the top. Dignitary's from other countries manage to come here all the time without causing any fuss in fact half the time they wouldn't even make the news, but he comes and causes half the city to shut down and take notice. He must think hes the second most powerful man in the world, thats the yanks for ya.
