Is it accomplishments? Creations? Your children? Your wealth?

Why? What are you doing to make sure this is what you leave behind?

How can we ever truly know how we have impacted on the lives of others?
Perhaps an act of kindness sets off a chain reaction that could change the world.
Perhaps our small personal efforts to help the environment will make a huge difference, even if it's only leading by example.
Perhaps the legacy we can leave, is the way we treat other people, animals and the earth. Love for all these things will live on long after we are gone.

Every person leaves behind the same legacy.... some sweet and some bitter memories of the unique personality the person had....... accomplishments, creations, children, wealth, good and bad deeds etc. are merely the objects that define the subject personality.

Our Legacy is what ever we leave behind and our children inherit from us. That encompases every single aspect of our lives from the mere physicle monetary things right down to the relational and spiritual legacy we leave behind. For example, a loving husband and father becomes a grandfather and then dies having left behind grandchildren and great grandchildren and a love that lives on through them. A legacy can affect up to 150 years of a families future generations. Thats the reality of the lasting impact a legacy can have and will have.

Photos. Poetry. Paintings. Songs. Memories. I don't plan to have children. My creations are my babies. It's rewarding to know that artwork I have created is hanging in someone's home & that it will be with them throughout their life & perhaps be passed down through generations.

Each of us leaves our own personal mark on the world. Maybe you plant a tree. Maybe you make an impression on someone. We all, in some small way, leave the world a better place than we found it. We live on in some form, we are remembered.

I want to paint & show my artwork more, to sell more paintings. I'm still writing songs & in the process of recording a CD. Art makes you immortal!

Well, I'm already in the libraries, Reader's Guide to Periodical Literature. I found out the records I produced got bottleged and both the actual ones and the bottlegs are selling for $30 on E-bay (too bad I'm not getting any of that). I helped to educate the college leadership, hence the United State and part of the world, on women filmmakers. I left something that'll be around for a while.

Hmm I'm not sure. If I could improve the world, or at least, people's perception of the world just a little it would mean a lot.
