Im like Tammer it didnt work for me .. and my daughter is also the result.
But ive heard its great for those it works for, its a contraception shot you get every 3mths .. Great for those who forget to to take the pill.

Depo Provera is a birth control injection given to a woman approximately every three months. It "convinces" the womans body that it is pregnant, and thus the woman will not ovulate. Usually the woman will not have menstrual cycles either, or at least not long ones.

a depo provera shot is a shot of hormones that is meant to prevent pregnancy- the hormones are released in your body and it stops the release of eggs from the ovaries. It lasts for 3 months and then you get it every 3 months... it's useful if you forget to take birth controls pills every day. You can ask your doctor about it or go to this link:

The depo is satan. I was on it for 6 months and I gained weight like all hell. Sure, it is effective in the baby deparment. I didn't get preganant and I had sex like a rabbit... but it wasn't worth it. I didn't like my body before the depo, now I'm even more upset since I gained alot of weight (and horrable stretch marks). It's very hard to get the weight off, everyone I know that was on the depo hated it cos they gained so much weight. It's not good for you and when you get off it you never know when your period is going to come (I've been off it since November and still no period). Depending on the person, your sex drive might go down. I know mine did twards the end, before I got off it, thats another downfall. It's great birth control. And, not to mention you can't be late for a depo appointment. It HAS to be the day it's suppose to be scheduled for or else you have to worry about getting pregant.

I've been on the depo shot for about 10 years... never been pregnant. It last 3 months and it works great.

Its birth control Its supposed to be good for 3 months, like the pill but you only have to take it every 3 months. For most it works great. I guess im just a fertile freak. lol
It meant my daughter to me lol. I was on the shot , went to get the shot again, I was sick, and they ran a test and yup pregnant.....2 month......
Love her to death she just wasn't planned. Some of the best things in life, you didn't know you wanted until you get them.
