my sister is unable to feed him on her milk sufficiently,mosttly feeds on formula milk,he looks too thin and fragile,what to do.

NOthing that anyone would say on here would be helpful or probably even safe. If you don't like your doctor get another one. If your doctor is doing all he can and says everything is fine, than again, nothing anyone on here could say should change that for you...

well it sounds like your nephew was born prematurely if he weighed in at 1.5 pounds. so i know it doesnt sound right, but what your doctor is saying may be true. when babies are born early, you have to calculate their proper birth weight and milestones by their due date, not their actual birth date. so if your nephew was, lets say 2 months early, now that he is 2 months old, he should be right on track with a newborn.

all you can do is make sure he is eating enough, every three hours, and do consult another doctor if you are unsure. you want to make sure your nephew has the best nutrition, education, life.... so why not give him the best doctor right now to make sure all of your hopes come true... i wish you good luck.
