I've been smoking since I was teenager and now I'm in my mid-twenties. I know about the it makes you lazy couch potatoe, and it's true. But I still enjoy to smoke once in a while. Like Friday & Saturady night. I just started drinking and so far it has been an interesting experience. Totally different buzz. Both have there up sides and down sides. But I find that a lot of drinkers look down on smokers and I don't know how they can. Just because it's legal doesn't mean that it's not a drug, like cigarettes and alcohol. Still, I like drinking but prefer to smoke weed. It's just who I am. Any weed smokers know what I mean?

I don't mean proud, but not ashamed.

nothing to be proud of or ashamed of, it is your life and your choice. If you are doing what is right for you, then there is no reason for you to defend your decision.

I totally feel ya. I have been a SMOKER for years and years. I know the day will come and my kiddo will experiment with drinking and drugs, and it would make my day for her not to do any, but if she HAS to chose, I so WANT it to be green bud. I have never know anyone to have a car wreck that was just stoned from weed, and God only knows how many my x-husband (her dad) and I had from drinking.

I think drinking is much worse than smoking. I joke about being a stoner but haven't burned one in over 20 years. I don't miss it.I never drank but am married to an alcoholic so I feel like I know what I'm talking about when I say DON'T DO EITHER!

I'm not a huge smoker, but I wouldn't say that anyone looks down on smokers. I guess the thing is that it's not great fun to hang out with a bunch of people who are ripped bc they can't do anything besides stare at the tv and eat doritos. It's not a very social drug. Drinking is much more energetic and social and most people can identify with someone else's drunken behaviour.

If people are looking down on you, just ditch them. I have, and now most of my friends either take party drugs or have a history of it. Weed pales in comparison to the sh*t that we do.

Have you ever tried masturbating when you were really stoned? It's absolute gold!

Sorry bro, yet you get a huge ol' -4,690,231 from me. Why? because 4 days is chump replace - i go on 2400 days. try posting back once you get a minimum of 365 - now that would want to be something to be pleased with.

yes be proud of it. Be very proud of it. The next time the police contact you tell them I smoke weed and I'm proud. Don't try to hide it. Let them know you got a baggie under the seat cause your proud.

The police will be understanding.

I don't wanna be a grumpy cow and tell you off, but i dunno what else to say. Um... well lots of people do it, i mean when i was at school which wasn't to long ago, loooaadddsss of girls smoked weed, and more. It's bad and i think it's illeagal, but you know, as long as you don't turn to worse drugs then i guess it's okay. I don't want to encourage you to be breaking the law though, but you know... Happy smoking mate ;D xXxXxX

do not be proud, but never hate yourself either. Just be aware
that both, drinking and smoking, can just be an escape from
the facts of life. I do both, but I am retired , so I have nothing to
escape from.

nothing to be proud of, nothing to be ashamed of. it just is.

not as though you're a chronic, but I found that the pot "hangover" lasts for a couple days on average. it takes too long to leave your system. all in all, you'll be better off without it.

not that drinking is any better.

It makes a lot of you too passive. But then I'm passive for different reasons. I don't know, should people be proud to be drinking cocktails after work? What you're saying doesn't make sense to me, what does pride have to do with it?
