SWA is steel wire armoured cable, it comes in different conductor sizes, and number of cores.It is suitable for burying direct in soil. It has to be terminated with suitable glands.

Steel Wire Armoured cable can be buried directly. Its best to lay it in sand with a warning tape or tiles/boards above. I try to use cable duct wherever possible. Make it much easier if you ever have to replace it.

steel wired armoured gives you good protection, and can be buried but is a good idea to place a layer of sand a foot above cable to show that it is buried below. or you can rap cable in yellow tape so it can be seen clearly in the dirt.

Bury away, dont foget to put a marking pvc tape about a foot above it in the trench as a warning during ant future digging
