I know the score of the FABULOUS 6-Nations rugby International match made history in Ireland.. just by way of a reminder.... ;-) - Ireland 43 - england 13..

Call me an aul' cynic here but can it only be me who can't help "wondering" if somewhere deep rooted in the english mind there was a bit of "let's do our bit for the "Peace Process".and let the Irish win - as well as make this gesture to the GAA and the Irish?..

I can't help wondering because even though I KNEW Ireland would win comprehensively, I certainly didn't expect england to GIVE the Irish the match - and that is exactly what it looked like to me!

So the question is, did england GIVE the match away on political advice or they thought it would be a political gesture for the Peace Process?

Doesn't matter if they did really, Ireland didn't need any help from them. The Irish team were in a class of thier own, and, as always, the BEST team WON !!.. and won honestly.

Re Apricot

That's exactly what I am asking in my question. Maybe I should have put it in the political category not sport, but I thought I woudl get an honest answer here !

They certainly did :)

It was a smashing game, but England just weren't up to scratch.

I would imagine that rather than England giving the game away, the emotion felt and shown by the Irish pre match is what gave them that final push to whip a**!

It was a deserved win, and no matter how much players might ever (though it's doubtful) think about letting others win it is unlikely that any player could really bring himself to do it lol :)

CG.

ps, for Haha, I don't think any England supporters have posted here have they? Certainly not any sore losers, all the posts seem to be in Irelands favour!

thats some *****e right there england came out to win that match but ireland were just so emotionally determined to lift their country. infact dont even say shite like this you disgust me. england would never give a match away, ireland just have that much more heart. you have to hand it to england though, must've took some gutts to come without their machine guns and armoured cars this time.
stop undermining the achievments of these brave irish boys, if you told this to anyone from big john hayes, to little peter stringer i garauntee you'd get punched right in the face.

From the start I saw something in Ir elands approach ...There were some fire in their step and in their tackles... Even the crowd sensed something in this game....
So I would if I may ....give my Honest opinion about it.... Ireland won it fair and square...
And with a crowd like that one.... who wouldn't want to win....
There were more fire in them as was in the England team and the Irish team were more hungry to won it....
