well... overall satisfaction levels with an iPod are really very good. Its a simple and elegant device with ultimate ease of use. I used to be an iRiver fan but since i bought a 30 GB Video iPod i am an iPod convert now. Nothing to beat the simplicity of this device..
However if your more technology inclined and want more features for the buck, then go for the creative 30 GB mp3 and video player... its got recording, FM (with recording) and better screen (brighter and better color reproduction) which ipod doesnt have. You can also set your own wallpaper on it. But the overall feel of creative is not as good as ipod... both come for approximately the same price.

I suggest you buying a Walkman Mp3 Player. Sony is having lots of technology and putting it on their walkman's

yep I agree, why pay for 20gb if you can get 30gb, go for creative m vision, they have 262.000 color on their screen compare to ipod only 65.000 colors. Good luck with your decision
