I like devil's patience. It's a like like the solitaire you can play on computers. First you count out 13 cards and put them in a pile to the side, then you turn one card and put that at the top this is your starting card (like the aces in normal solitaire) then you turn 4 cards below that in a line. You turn over cards from the rest of the pack 3 at a time. you add cards to the 4 in a line like in regular solitaire. if you make a gap you then turn one card from the pile of 13 and put it in the space. the aim is the same as in solitaire, build up the suits but instead of starting with aces you start with whatever card you turned at the top (e.g. 5)

Hoyles Games are great.Sierra seem to have sold the site to someone else and therefore I cannot recommend going to Games site as most of them would amuse 5 year olds.Try your local software shop.I did invent a game called Black Pirate played with two packs of cards and 4 jokers, but no one understood the rules!

I created a solitare version of trumps. It's like 2 man trumps, but the other team is all face down.

Online poker, most sites have freeplay tables and come with instructions on how to play. Just put "online poker" in your search engine and you can decide for yourself which one is best for you.
