i have been taking the pill for about 2 months now . A couple of days before intercourse happened i wasnt always taking it at the allocated time . Im really worried i may be pregnant. i never missed a pill . What do you think the chances of me being pregnant are? And with abortion , would you have to pay , or is it done on the nhs , because im still technically a minor ? And we didnt use any other form of contraception , and [ sorry to be graphic] but he didnt pull out twice because he thought the pill would be fine .

all abortions are free. but i think if your'e under 16 youll have to tell a parent. depending on what pill your taking, the chances could be lower or higher. however, the chances wont go above 8% which is the chance of getting pregnant without protection mid cycle. good luck

hi hun it doesn't matter if he pulls out before coming anyway all males have pre-come and this can also get u pregnant. This i learned the hard way i now have to lovely kids lol. Yes u will get an abortion on the nhs u have to go and speak with ur doctor and they will give u all the information u need. Oh and its confidential so ur parents dont have to know. U probably r not pregnant u may just have some side affects from the pill and it takes awhile for ur body to get used to medication. Hope this helps

Hi there
I really dont think you will be pregnant as you have been taking a pill every day. If your period is late/doesn't come then do a pregnancy test but I'm sure you will be fine. If you under 16 then your doctor would tell your parents if you needed an abortion.
Just be careful next time as you might not be lucky. Use a condom even if you are on the pill.
Good luck and be sensible

A test will tell you either way. As for an abortion, hopefully you won't need one but if you are pregnant you really need to think about it and talk it through with someone first. Don't be scared to speak to someone you trust - or you can ask to see a female GP if that's a problem - if you speak to a dr they cannot tell your parents or anyone anything if you don't want them to. Don't rush in to anything - speak to someone to help you get your head straight but remember not to let anyone pressure you into anything either way - you need to make a desision that's right for you. If you do go for one, abortions are free so don't worry about that. I'm sure you've figured out from this that you need to be carefull when you sleep with someone - men can be total loosers at times and he might have said he's a virgin but you cant be sure - he could've just said that to get you into bed! Pill + condom is the safest protection. Good luck - thinkin of you xx

if you have taken one every day then you should be ok, though it does depend how late you were taking it. Just because you are on the pill it doesn't mean you don't have to use other forms of contraception. Pregnancy isn't the only worry, what about STDs?

it's unlikely but if you're late do a test just to check. if you struggle remembering to take the pill on time have a chat with your doctor / family planning adviser and see if there is a better option for you. the depo injection covers you for three months at a time and there's no pill to remember.

abortions are available on the nhs but take things one step at a time. in the unlikely event that you are pregnant give yourself time to think about it before you make the decision to go ahead. it's your choice but not one to be taken lightly.

best wishes with it all x

As a minor you will need your parents permission to have a pregnancy terminated. If i were you i would wait until i was positive before worrying about what to do. Just remember that you will need support at your age to go through with a termination as its a little more traumatic than people think.

pixie,

Graphic is fine...vulgar is not. You were anything but vulgar.

From your account, I find very little to worry about. Of course, the pill isn't 100% effective, but nothing is...and for preventing pregnancy, I don't think any other contraceptive comes closer.

If you ever want extra peace of mind, go out and get one of those "pee on a stick" home pregnancy tests...you can get them in the U.K., right?

all terminations are free in uk. no matter what your age you dont have to inform an adult as long as you are GILLICK/FRASER competent then that is fine BUT im sure your parents would be ok about it! you were using contraception so what else can you do? I know if my daughter needed a termination I would support her, not judge her and help her anyway I could. hope you are ok x
