Mike Hussey has fantastic technique, particularly with his ability to speed up or slow down and play to most areas of the ground as required of the moment - however I don't think he's the best, very close but not the best.

There are so many different ways to adjudge "best", and I'm assuming that effectiveness is a given when talking about this kind of thing. Dravid and Tendulkar are beautiful to watch at times, Lara has periods of brilliance, Hayden and Gilchrist can be wonderful to watch, and Michael Vaughan can bring to mind the beauty of Gower and Atherton when he's on song ... and all are effective batsmen who can turn a match as well as being classed amongst the "best" in terms of technique (as opposed to someone like, sorry but I can't think of a current equivalent right now, Allan Border or Steve Waugh - who were brilliant and effective but hardly "best" in terms of technique)

That said, I have to believe that Ponting is currently the "best" batsman in the world when it comes to technique. He can control an end, motivate his batting partner to greater things, bludgeon a bowler and use every part of the ground at will - in long and short forms of the game! Hussey is drawing alongside Ponting in all of these areas, but I think Ponting still has an edge over him head-to-head.

we do no longer have the right to criticize. If a participant is tender with the way they bat, why shoule we criticize. Take Shivnarine Chanderpaul as an celebration. His batting technique is horrendous. it really is the worst of any cricketer i have ever considered. He also takes position to be between the acceptable batsmen playing cricket at present. you do not see many human beings criticizing his technique, do you?

I think Javed Mia daad a pakistani old batsman who gave a six on the last bowl against india, Love that match,

I have seen most of his matches,

I play alot cricket and always copy his style and now alot of my mate copy me,

In the test match he hold the back from the very start to to ver end of the bat,

In the ODI match he holds the bat from the end that gaves him more power to hit the ball,

By the way
Nice question,
