An interesting Matrix like thought. Just for the record you question has merit depending on your point of view.
Every transduction of energy is the universe has to die in one form to be recreated in another. Much is the same of transitioning from a spirit form in to a human life. So you can say this is an after life born from a previous other life.
Given nothing is static in this universe it is only a matter of time things will change so another death will occur to facilitate that change. So even this life, after life as you say, will also have to come to an end,change, and this is what we call death.
