I filed in August of '06 and it's Febuary now. What will it take to finalize my divorce? I haven't heard back about it or recieved any paperwork.

You have to prove that you tried to contact him (run an add in the paper) After 30 days you file directly with the court, stating that you can't locate him.

you file in the State you live in and she is served in her home State, California used to have a "cooling off" period which was six months before a judge would sign off. Call the court house in California..Good luck

I wouls ring up and see whats holding it up. Otherwise ring the court house and see what they have to say. You should have recieve some kind of paper work buy now.
