Why is it that when walking past one, you can always sense?

When walking past a TV that is turned on, and even without seeing the screen side, you can always sense that it's on, despite that it may be showing a black screen and making no noise at all!

i dont know but its strange. i can sense when a tv has been turned on upstairs too because it makes a kind of high pitch noise.

It still senses the signal from the aeriel amd transmitting to you via psychic means.
