I love that song! Was it Herman's Hermits? My big sister had that record.
It's true though, when my son was in the hospital, it was the Christmas season, and it just amazed me that people could be out shopping, and laughing, and having fun, and that the world kept turning, and why they couldn't see that a little 6 year old boy was very sick?
(he's fine now.)
But, it brings up the pensive thoughts of how much we do not know about what is going on in the lives of others around us in everyday life. And also why we should be more kind to all we see, for they are fighting a battle we know nothing about.

although your "world" may be coming to an end, most others' will continue on. Some people's worlds end sooner than others. Or would you prefer that the entire universe end when you're finished with it?
