Hahhah!! Remind me when I face the same technical aircraft problem in Jakarta last year.
I am sure Cheney and all his entourage were keeping their eye closely from the deck at the mechanic who was fixing the engine of the plane.
An how I wish to see how Cheney and others act, when they all witnessed (exactly what I had experienced before) - the mechanic, after fixing for half an hour, right before he packed his tools, he looked at the engine and SCRATCHED his head for a second!

I'm very sure that Cheney's initial reaction was whether the terrorists had something to do with it. That's the problem when you create a bogeyman as your enemy. Someday it becomes so real in your imagination that you will eventually believe in it. To such a person, fantasy and reality turns out to be one and the same.

Figuring there was no safety issue or danger to his life since it was a minor electrical problem I'd say he was pissed he was going to be late, nothing more than that.
