I just saw this band on Saturday Night Live and they sucked. Who signs these bands?

And why does current music suck?

Indie labels sign the bands and it's because, theoretically, their sound is too unique to be marketed by a major label. With this band, they're not that good and they use that to make their message universal (read: boring). They then juxtapose that mundane quality with epic theatrics to offset the boring nature of the message. They're not no talents, they just have very little musical talent.

As far as music today....you must be old. No one should ever throw the entire generation of music out over listening to one commercially successful band. You're not looking for good music if you're looking on commercial radio or TV. You're lazy.
