Not as bad a trade as some think, but I'd still take it. Rivera is a top five closer. That's what makes it worthwhile. The other guy you're getting Posednik is too one dimensional for my tastes as he offers steals and nothing else. You're downgrading your OF by trading a speed guy with moderate power in Corey Patterson for posednik. I think John Patterson will be healthy this year, but still being offered Mariano Rivera take it.

Do it. Corey Patterson and Podsednik are equal garbage so it comes down to Rivera for John Patterson. Quality closers are harder to come by that decent starters. Pull the trigger.

Neither Podsednik nor Patterson is worth having, unless you are really desparate fro steals (even then).
So this is a trade of John Patterson for Mariano Rivera.
Take Rivera.

do it dude. Mariano will get a ton of saves this year and scotty pod will put up numbers. Plus, John Patterson is injury prone.

I would do this trade for sure since Pods and Patterson are basically equals and MO is way better than patterson!

Do it. Getting Rivera will really pay off. The Yankees will give him a lot of save opportunities. Many think Washington may be the worst team in BB this year so this won't be good for their pitching staff.

I'll take it.. #2 closer, #1 or 2 basestealer for a guy who may not hit and a pitcher who is mediocre... I could beat the second 2 players on most waiver wires...
