For Presentation you can use MSWORD.........But if you want a solver the best is MATLAB.
This is straight from MSWORD help
Open MSWORD obviously
Insert an equation
Click where you want to insert the equation.
On the Insert menu, click Object, and then click the Create New tab.
In the Object type box, click Microsoft Equation 3.0.
If Microsoft Equation Editor is not available, you may need to install it.

there is no need to download it
simply install program called mathematica
where you can find out integration , summation ,cube root,fourth root,etc.
sin,cos,tan,cot,etc and even you can carry out expansion such as (a+b)^2 and many other things
