i listen to music using headphones for longer period of time...does it cause any danger?..

It's very easy to damage your ears with headphones & even easier to damage them with earphones (ear buds).
Because the music is so close to your ears many people don't realize how load they are. When we shout in a loud dance club we are aware we are shouting because we are aware how loud the music is. But how often have you seen somebody wearing headphones shouting & not even realize they are shouting until the person they are talking to answers & they can't hear them so they remove their headphones.
If you can't hear the people around you talking while you are listening to something like an iPod or a Walkman, your music is too loud.

I think so...my ear got messed up on one side...I am serious, about this. I don't use them as much anymore.
