I have often thought it would be neat to have such a club where employees dressed in the 40's era clothes and the decor was vintage of that style and of course the music was jazzy and bigbandish. Would you visit such a club? You would also have to dress to impress to get in (a dress code). The closest thing I have seen to that was at the begining of one of the Indiana Jones movies where there is a big music number (anything goes?) and fight scene.

There is or was the Derby in Los Angles, not sure if it's still open/running. (You may remember it from the movie Swingers) The staff didn't dress up, but most everyone else did. It was the start of the swing revival in the US, although I think that it might be over.

The Cotton Club in Chicago. It just closed a couple of years ago.

I know that sounds neat , when you say that I think about the Cotton Club dressed up and looking sexy and having a good ole time. that cool
