I swim when I have my period because I'm on swim team, but I use a tampon and it's fine. Tampax Pearl are the only ones I use though!

If you know there will be probably be sharks or other big 'sea animals' in it, please don't.

But if you are going into a pool or something and you feel you are 'dry' and 'protected' enough then why not, enjoy the water.

But remember whiles you are doing that while having your period, others may also be doing the same thing, so just put yourself in their shoes and just try to be 'neat' when you get into the water.

Yes, it is best if you use tampons. Not a pad when you go in water, pool, beach, bathtub etc. Why? A pad will absorb water where as a tampon wont. If a pad is filled with water it will not soak up the period blood. Besides it's alot more comfortable to wear a tampon when swimmimg then wearing a pad and worrying if it's floated away.

of course. As long as you weatr a tampon. There is a myth that when your on your period and get in the water it stops but I don't belive it. Don't worry I'm on the swim team and all you have to do is just wear a tampon and you should be good to go.

Wear a tampon. If it feels like it is falling out (which it more than likely won't) change it fast!
I have never had a problem with a tampon at a pool, or in my hot tub. Don't go without any stuff on. I don't want to be swimming in someone else's blood.

Yes, you can. It doesn't pose a health risk. But I wouldn't go
swimming in a pool, especially if others use it. You could go
in the ocean but don't go out too far. Sharks would be attracted to it.

well i wouldnt suggest going in the water with a pad, because of the obvious reason..it will just go soggy lol
but of course you can go in with tampons
dont go in without anything though because that is sick ewwww

Most answers have been perfect. you may use a tampon

EXCEPT

For one word of caution:

Prolonged and repetitive use of tampons is associated with a serious disease called Staphylococcal toxic shock syndrome

SO use a tampon sparingly please
