Is it possible at all to wear sneakers with casual office attire? My workplace is easy on clothing, but I'm usually in skirts and heels. I want to change this. I want to wear sneakers, but still keep my skirt/dress attire. Any brand of sneakers to recommend? Or is this really a no-no?

This is a no no. Especially with a skirt or dress. I'm sure you can find flatter shoes that are as comfortable as a sneaker. Look at Easy Spirit, Naturalizer, and Aerosoles. They make shoes that are stylish but very comfortable. Tennis shoes only look good with sportswear.

You could get some of those high heeled tennis shoes. You must not like to dress up. I think tennis shoes only look good w/ shorts or gym clothes. There are comfortable dress shoes out there. Maybe you should dress down but keep the heels.

No-no.
Try heels with nice, dark looking jeans (skinny jeans or flared whichever you prefer) with a pretty top that's not exactly dressy, but pretty.
Look through some magazines, the fashions today are amazing and you won't feel too dressy.
OR
wear flats.
They're SO comfortable, and chic.
Lovely combo if you ask me.

Black sneakers can go unnoticed with pants, but not a skirt. I hate heels. I look for dressy but comfortable boots or loafers.
