hi there i came to malaysia as a tourist and i had some problem ,i couldnt come back to my country and i am overstayed for 5 monthes.what is the punishment and how to fix it

I dont think they will bother. The most that they can do is say 'Kurang Ajar' and let you stay longer if you are lucky!

YOU must go the Malaysian Bar Council in KL - No.13, 15&17 Leboh Pasar Besar TELEPHONE: 03-2031 3003 before you do anything else. They should advise you accordingly. Don't just show up at the Immigration HQ Malaysia (Jln Duta) but eventually you have to.
Malaysia Bar Council runs Legal Aid advice FREE of charge. Do go and talk to them. Do not worry unnescessarily, you did not commit a crime - it's just overstaying, an immigration offence.

if you are Chinese national they will fines you RM 10000 and takes your mobile phone.
if you are Indonesian national they just take your mobile phone
if your are Indian or Bangladesh national they will fines you RM 500 and take your mobile phone
If you are American / EEC or Australian national they wont fines you and wont take your mobile phone
If you are from Arabic country they will fines you RM 500 and takes everything you have.
If caught by RELA in malaysia, they will treats you like a dog.And YES ! they will takes your mobile phone.
As suggested by a reader here, get a lawyer before you surrenders yourself or ask your lawyer to go with you.Anyway this government needs money badly, most is you pays the fine/s and goes home.

there will be a fine. caning maybe and jail that is all. you will be warned and send back to ur country. YOu cannot enter malaysia for another 1 year.

Chances are you will only be deported. Unless the officer is having a bad day...best be prepared for the worst.

Hello, I'm afraid it's a mandatory death sentence for you. You will be hung, shot and given a lethal injection.
Or pop along to the Immigration department and explain your reasons why you have over stayed and ask for their mercy.
